PPMCSA provides invaluable services and represents the independent marketer's interest in Pennsylvania and nationally by providing:

State and Federal Legislative Activities:  The government, at the federal, state, and even the local level, plays a major role in every marketer's business.  The petroleum industry is among the most regulated of all industries. Clearly, there is a need for strong marketer representation among the multitude of legislative and regulatory bodies which govern our industry.  PPMCSA provides its members with a continuous flow of information on current regulations and legislation which affect their businesses, and the Association also has a legislative affairs representative in Harrisburg.

PMAA:  All Active members of PPMCSA are automatically members of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA).  PMAA is a federation of state and regional petroleum marketing associations, representing America's independent petroleum marketers.  All told, PMAA and its member associations represent approximately 8,000 marketers across the country.  Collectively, those marketers account for nearly 50 percent of the gasoline and 85 percent of the heating oil sold in the United States each year.  Click here to learn more about PMAA.

Direct Contact Service:  Members have direct contact with PPMCSA staff who answer questions and help with problems that arise in the day-to-day operation of their businesses.  Location of the Association office near Harrisburg provides each member with a direct liaison to state regulatory bodies and immediate answers to their questions.

Education Program:  A state-of-the-art training facility offering "hands-on" HVAC training, along with a  comprehensive education schedule, allows members of PPMCSA to choose, for themselves and their employees, a variety of programs ranging from new technician and HazMat training to seminars on management, legal issues, accounting, taxes, estate planning, etc.  Click here to learn more about our education programs.

PPMCSA Express update: Published frequently, the PPMCSA Express update keeps members informed and up-to-date on timely topics both in Pennsylvania and Washington.

Membership Directory: Published annually, the PPMCSA Membership Directory is an invaluable tool to those involved in Pennsylvania's petroleum industry. An integrated listing of Active and Associate members, a Buyers' Guide of suppliers, equipment manufacturers, local petroleum organizations, as well as a legislative section, is at every member's fingertips.

Insurance Programs: Programs for employee life insurance and both short- and long-term disability are provided by American Fidelity Assurance Company. Section 125 Cafeteria Plans are a pre-tax-dollar benefit program for members and their employees which may include medical expense and dependent care reimbursement, as well as qualified insurance products.

Federated Mutual Insurance Company provides specialized property, liability and health insurance coverages designed specifically for the petroleum industry.

Conventions/Conferences and Trade Shows: PPMCSA holds an annual convention/conference; a biennial trade show is held in conjunction with the convention falling on even-numbered years. The conference/convention, in addition to the regular business and committee meetings, features an excellent array of seminars designed to help marketers become even more efficient and better able to take advantage of new profit opportunities. Committee Involvement: Active members are invited and urged to assist the Association and the industry by serving on one or more committees. Service on these committees provides members with numerous opportunities to take an active part in shaping the policies and programs of the Association and the petroleum industry.
